A Google 360 View of Costa Rica

Costa Rica News – Google presents 76 special places in Costa Rica via 360° images taken by their technicians.

It took years of planning to get all of the needed permissions to take and publish the photos as well as to go to some places that tourists usually can’t, like Cocos Island.

As of yesterday, the images are available to the public on Google Maps. You just go to maps.google.com and navigate to the location you want to see. Alternatively you can move the orange doll icon to the spot you wish to explore.

Some of the places you can see beautiful images of include the Ruins of Cartago, Cocos Island, various beaches, churches, waterfalls and several museums. These natural, cultural and emblematic places can be enjoyed by tourists while planning their trips and by locals wanting to learn more about their country.

Costa Rica is among the first in the region to have this type of collection, along with Puerto Rico and Guatemala.
